Refund policy

At CARDWORLD we want you to be happy with your purchase. This refund policy explains how and when you can return an order or get a refund. For the full legal terms, see our terms of service.
Right of withdrawal (14 days)
In accordance with Belgian and European consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from delivery to return your order. Within that period, you can return your purchase without giving a reason.
How to do this?
- Email us within 14 days of receipt at hello@cardworld.be with your order number and the word "Return" or "Withdrawal".
- We'll send you the European model form or confirm the return directly via email.
- Send the products back unused and in their original sealed packaging within 14 days of your withdrawal notification.
- Return shipping costs are at your expense, unless we explicitly state otherwise (e.g. our error).
- We will refund you in full within 14 days of receiving the return, including the original shipping costs, using the same payment method as your purchase.
What CANNOT be returned?
Some products are not eligible for the right of withdrawal (in accordance with WER art. VI.53). A return cannot be accepted in these cases:
- Rip & Ship products whose seal has been opened on stream. Once your boosters/packs are opened live on Twitch, you can no longer return them.
- Booster Boxes, Booster Packs, or other TCG products whose seal is broken after delivery. Sealed products must remain sealed to be returned.
- Custom-made products (e.g. personalised sleeves, dividers, or printed items).
- Digital codes already delivered (e.g. redeemed code cards).
Damaged or incorrect delivery
Did you receive a damaged, wrong, or incomplete order? We resolve it as quickly as possible:
- Email us within 48 hours of receipt at hello@cardworld.be with your order number.
- Add clear photos of the damage, the product, and the packaging (inside + outside).
- We'll send a replacement product free of charge or refund you.
Damage during transport: risk of loss or damage transfers to you on physical delivery. We file claims with the carrier, but we ensure a quick resolution for you regardless of the claim outcome.
Legal warranty (2 years)
For manufacturing defects or visible faults, you have a 2-year legal warranty under Belgian law. Important nuance for TCG products:
- The value or rarity of pulled cards is not covered by the warranty. Boosters are randomly packaged as determined by the publisher.
- Missing or damaged cards in an original sealed booster fall under the publisher's warranty (Pokemon Company, Bandai Namco, Wizards of the Coast, etc.) and must be reported there.
Refund — how long does it take?
- Bancontact / card: usually 1-3 working days after our refund, depending on your bank.
- Other payment methods: up to 14 days.
- You'll receive an email as soon as we have processed the refund.
Disputes
Not happy with our handling? Try contacting us directly first (hello@cardworld.be) — we usually resolve everything within 1-2 working days.
Can't reach a solution? For online purchases, you can use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
